Add a prompt column on Results

Updated September 28, 2026 · 2 min read

Add a prompt column to a worker's Results to put your own label, summary, or flag on every row, without changing what the worker itself does. You write one instruction, and a mini model fills the cell for each result.

Create the prompt column

  1. Open the worker's Results tab and click + Column above the table.
  2. Enter a Column name, then pick a Column type. Prompt asks a mini model to fill each cell. Keyword matching flags the row when a chosen field contains specific words, with no model call.
  3. For Prompt, write the Instruction. Type @ to reference a Results field or another Dynamic column, for example @action for the escalation type. To start faster, click a template under Templates: Category, CSAT guess, Churn risk, or Summary.
  4. Click Add column.
Add column sheet with Summary as the column name, Prompt selected, and the @ menu listing Results fields such as @escalated_to_human and @action.

The new column appears at the end of the Results table. A sparkle icon in the header marks it as a Prompt column, and each empty cell shows a play button.

Fill existing rows

New runs fill the column automatically. Rows that already exist stay empty until you run the column on them.

  1. Click the play button in the column header (Run column).
  2. Check the From and To dates. They start from the date range you're viewing. The dialog shows how many rows it will fill, for example "This will update 3 results." One run covers up to 5,000 results.
  3. Click Run. The rows are queued and filled in the background. Reload Results if the values don't show up after a minute.

To fill or refresh a single row, click the play button in that cell (Run cell). Hover a long value to read the full text.

Edit or remove the column

Open the ⋯ menu in the column header. Choose Edit to change the name, type, or instruction, then run the column again to recompute past rows. Choose Remove to delete the column. It's removed right away, without a confirmation step.

FAQ

What's the difference between Prompt and Keyword matching?

Prompt uses a small model to fill the cell from your instruction; Keyword matching is a deterministic scan of one field against a keyword list — no model call.

Do new columns fill existing rows automatically?

No. New runs fill the column automatically, but existing rows stay empty until you click Run column (for a date range) or Run cell (for one row).

Can a Dynamic column reference another Dynamic column?

Yes, with @ — Zentesimal computes them in dependency order and rejects cycles or unknown references at save time.

Can I filter Results by a Dynamic column?

Yes — once it's enabled it gets its own filter control in the Results Filters sheet.

How many rows can one Run column cover?

Up to 5,000 results per run. If more match, narrow the date range and run it in batches, or contact support.
