Set worker input fields

Updated September 21, 2026 · 1 min read

Define typed input fields so Zentesimal maps spreadsheet rows, JSON, or free text into them before the worker runs.

Open Incoming data

  1. Open a worker and go to Settings → Incoming data.
Incoming data section on a worker's Settings tab.

Add a field

  1. Add a field with a name and type (string, number, or boolean), an optional description, and mark it Required if the worker can't run without it.
Add incoming data field form with name, type, description, and required toggle.

Test the mapping

  1. Use Test incoming data to see how a sample payload maps into your fields before it runs for real.

FAQ

What happens if I don't define any input fields?

The worker receives the raw payload unchanged — no mapping step, no extra model call.

Which field types are supported?

String, number, and boolean, each with an optional description and a required/enabled toggle.

Can I test the mapping before it runs for real?

Yes. Test incoming data shows the shaped payload from a sample input without enqueuing the worker.
